Legends of the Joust

(in no particular order)

Christian and Chris S.

Christian - Widely considered to be the best jouster in New England Canoe Jousting Club history.  He has used his unique lacross style grip to propel his team to two championships, one second place, and one third place finish in four years.  Part of Team Cocks - the most consistantly dominant team in the club.

Chris S. (aka C-Saw, Saul) - An originator of the sport after a night of deep conversation at Brett's house.  He has been known to try different equiptment options such as the ski goggles, gloves, and potato gun.  He is the assman for the infamous Team Cocks (2 championships).  You can also hear him as the drums, horn, and backup singer on the canoe jousting song.

Steve and Jared

Steve (aka SuperNintendo) - Another originator of the sport.  He won the first match ever, mostly because he didn't want to get his windpants wet.  With very little practice, he was able to win a championship with Jared in 2006.  He is also famous for writing, singing, and playing the guitar and bass on the canoe jousting song.

Jared -  Has the reputation as the best assman in the sport.  Jared's uncanny sense of balance has allowed him to make every single finals match (with three different partners) in five years.  This has lead to two championships as well as winning the now defunct Sodomy Day tornament.  He is the originator of the now widely used "stick it to 'em" move.

Dan and Chris L.

Dan (aka Sleazy D)- While not known for his jousting skills, Dan has taken over the website and has produced the best canoe jousting "How To" video.

Chris L. (aka Redbeard) - Yet another originator of the sport.  Along with Steve, he won the first ever canoe jousting match.  He is best known for keeping his cigarettes lit even when falling into the water.  His wife and sister (not the same person) serve as judges and lifeguards for our tounaments.  Chris also designs the intricate lances.

Brett (with Jamie)

Brett - The final originator of the sport.  He allows us to use his house to hold practices and tournaments.  While he hasn't won a trophy yet, he never ends up in last place either.

Shelby (with John)

Shelby - The most successful female jouster in club history.  She is the only female to reach the finals of the big tournament and almost won it a couple times before finally being defeated (we blame John).
